What are Shadow Birds pieces made of?
Solid steel. Most pieces come in a Raw Steel or Black Powder Coat finish. Pick whichever fits your yard.
Will the Raw Steel finish rust?
Yes. Raw Steel arrives gray, and rain and dew gradually develop a warm rust patina outdoors. Color and texture vary naturally. Keep it over wood, soil or mulch while the finish develops. If you'd rather skip the process and keep a clean, consistent look, choose Black Powder Coat instead.
How do I install it?
Find your spot: a tree trunk, a wooden fence or a post. Hold the spike at a slight downward angle against the wood and tap it with a hammer or mallet until it is firm. No drilling, no screws, no other tools. Follow the installation instructions supplied with your specific product.
What size are the pieces?
It varies by design. Exact dimensions are listed on each product page.
Will it arrive in time for a holiday gift?
A lot of these are bought as gifts. Each piece is cut to order in Texas. Please allow 2–4 business days before shipment, and order early for holidays.

What if I'm not happy with my piece?
Contact us within 30 days of delivery if you are not happy with your piece. We will make it right with a replacement or a full refund.
